چکیده
• Increased quality With sales of 137 million Euros in 2011, Armor is one of the leaders in producing inked ribbon used in thermal transfer printing for product identification and other applications. Ribbon is produced by applying ink to polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film in a web coating process in which the speed, tension and position of the web and other variables must be closely controlled in order to ensure the highest possible quality while maximizing throughput.

Reliability analysis of rubble-mound breakwaters against the failure due to the armor layer instability based on the fuzzy random variables theory: A case study of Anzali Port breakwater
Breakwaters are among the most frequently-used coastal protective structures and their stability is vital to avoid turbulence at the ports. The main purpose of the present research is to use the theory of fuzzy random variables and the second-order reliability method (SORM) to study the reliability of a rubble-mound breakwater against the failure due to the armor layer instability. The limit-st...
متن کاملAnalytical and Numerical Consideration of Projectile Density Effect on Its Penetration Ability in Alumina Armor
In this paper, penetration of high velocity impact of 4340 steel and tungsten carbide projectiles with specific shapes in to ceramic armor that includes 10 mm alumina (95%) is considered analytically and simulated with Ls-Dyna software. Bernoulli equation used to consider the penetration velocity in ceramics, shows that the penetration is better and easier by increasing projectile density. The ...
متن کاملEffects of Ballistic Extremity Armor on Joint Kinematics during Gait
In addition to the standard armor vest, the U.S. military has been issuing ballistic armor designed to protect the arms and legs. Some of these extremity armor systems allow for scalable protection, providing soldiers with increased ballistic armor coverage when deemed necessary by adding additional components that protect the forearms and shanks to the upper arm and thigh components with hook ...
متن کاملBallistic Performance of Hybrid Armor with Ceramic Inserts and Polymeric Matrix for Different Threat Levels (TECHNICAL NOTE)
Ceramic materials due to their high compressive strength and hardness have been one of prime candidates in armor design in particular when high level threads (impact velocity above 600m/s) are involved. The aim of this work is to investigate ballistic impact resistance potential for a target plate with novel ceramic inserts as against ceramic tiles. Two size 98% alumina (AL2O3) base ceramic i...
متن کاملCase study: a novel biomechanical approach for evaluating extended body armor systems.
To combat the devastating effects of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), body armor that provides extended coverage has been developed. However, this extended coverage increases the armor's weight and may restrict movement. Throughout this case study, a novel technique to assess several armor systems was investigated. Four soldiers performed shoulder and trunk movements while wearing each of t...
